"A traditional kids` favorite in Bulgaria."

Ingredients

  • eggs - 6
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • flour - 2 cups
  • baking powder - 2 tsp (10 g)
  • for the topping
  • milk - 4 1/5 cups (1 liter)
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • water - 1 cup
  • vanilla - 2 packets (4 g)

How to make

Beat the eggs and sugar until you get a smooth cream. Then add the flour sifted with the baking powder and beat until homogeneous.

Pour the mixture into a greased tray and put to bake in a moderate oven. Allow it to cool and cut it into pieces.

Boil the milk and separately boil a syrup of water and sugar for 5 minutes. Mix the milk, vanilla and sugar syrup together.

Once the liquid has cooled, pour it over the sponge cake evenly.

quantities not defined ' a packet of baking soda' ? there are many packet sizes ....one litre milk ? is like triple too much .....this recipe is a practical joke i think . Hardly surprising there are no reviews . No comment says it all . Dammed by faint praise .
