Ingredients

  • beans - 1 2/5 cups (350 g) white
  • pork trotters - 2
  • onions - 1 head
  • carrots - 1
  • paprika - 1 tablespoon
  • spearmint - 1 tablespoon, chopped, fresh
  • salt - to taste
  • black pepper - to taste

How to make

In a pot, place the cleaned and washed pork trotters with a little salt and cold water, boil about 30 min., removing any foam.

Wash the beans, put them in another pot with cold water to boil, boil about 20 min.

Discard the water, pour in the broth and add the pork trotters. Chop the onions finely, dice the carrot and add them to the beans.

Put the pot on the stove and boil until the beans soften. If needed pour in warm water.

Add the paprika and black pepper, salt to taste and boil briefly.

Sprinkle the dish with the chopped spearmint, remove from the pot, leave it with a closed lid to smother and for the spearmint to soften. Serve.
