How to make
Peel and grate the beetroots.
Dissolve the sugar in 2 cups warm water and stir the sugar syrup in a large container on the stove.
Add the grated beetroots and stir. Leave the jam to boil until everything sticks together, while stirring regularly.
During boiling add ginger to taste and optionally crushed walnuts toward the end.
Turn the stove off and stir the beetroot jam. Optionally you can mash it slightly. Distribute into jars, close tightly and turn with the caps down until fully cooled.
