"You don`t need to be a whiz kid to make this phyllo pastry but it`ll definitely take magic for you not to overeat with it."

Ingredients

  • flour - enough to absorb everything
  • milk - 4/5 cup (200 ml)
  • eggs - 4
  • yeast - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • butter - 1 cup (250 g)
  • nuts - 4/5 cup (200 g) chopped
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp (5 g)
  • sugar - 4 1/5 cups (1000 g)

How to make

Dissolve yeast in milk, add eggs and flour, knead dough, which is divided into 4 balls, which are rolled for pastry.

Two are sprinkled with melted butter mixed with cinnamon and walnuts and covered with the two other pastries. Roll into in rolls and cut into pieces 5-6 cm long, these are placed upright (with the cuts up), in a greased baking dish.

Having the cake baked, pour the cold syrup made from sugar and 4 1/5 cups (1 l) of water.
