Pomelo

The pomelo is a citrus fruit rich in vitamin C and vitamin B and is often defined as a sweet grapefruit. It also contains calcium, phosphorus, iron - it is this balance that makes it excellent for consumption when dieting.

As well, due to the large amounts of pectin and fiber, the pomelo gives a long-lasting feeling of satiety, not to mention that it is a fruit with few calories. The diet with pomelo is quite simple but needs to be followed correctly.

It is best to stop consuming high-calorie foods, and not just during the diet, but after it. Also, don't drink alcohol or eat smoked and salted foods, as well as spicy delicacies.

Water is extremely important during the diet - drink a minimum of 6 1/5 cups (1.5 L) daily. You can also have fruit juices, green or black tea. Include all sorts of vegetables and grain foods in the diet.

Non-fatty chicken breasts and veal are allowed. You can eat the pomelo like any other fruit or drain out the juice and drink it. Follow the diet no longer than 1 week - in these 7 days, you may lose up to 11 lb (5 kg).

People who shouldn't follow this food diet are those that are citrus fruit intolerant and those with a weak immune system. It is also not recommended for persons suffering from digestive system diseases, as well as pregnant women.

Pomelo and orange

Since the diet is abundant in fiber, this will have a positive effect on the intestines, and will, of course, improve digestion. After you finish dieting, it is advised to continue eating healthy and balanced. For an even better effect, combine the diet with a sport.

Besides chicken and veal, eating fish is also allowed. Of course, none of these meats should be fried - best to bake or saute them. If adhering to this diet in the winter or early spring, keep your body healthy with multivitamins. Here is a sample menu for 1 day:

Your breakfast can consist of half a pomelo and a little later, before lunch, prepare 1 1/5 cups (300 ml) of green tea and about 2 oz (50 g) of feta cheese (it must be unsalted).

For lunch, prepare chicken meat with veggies. These can be peppers, zucchini, carrots, peas and others. In the early afternoon, it's time to eat the other half of the pomelo and 1 1/5 cups (300 ml) of mineral water.

Later, eat 1 hard-boiled egg and another half of a pomelo. For dinner, boil broccoli and season them with half a lemon and a little olive oil.

To them, add the other pomelo half and 1 green apple. Drink 1 cup of herbal tea sweetened with 1 tsp of honey.
