Red beets and their juice are great ways to clear the body of harmful substances, strengthen the immunity, normalize the blood pressure and purify the spleen, bile and liver. There are many useful properties of this vegetable, but how is beetroot juice made?
The most effective and easy way to make a juice out of this otherwise very hard vegetable is in a juicer. This is the method where you have to clean the beet heads, cut them and put them in the juicer.
Keep in mind that due to its hardness and small amount of juice, only 30-40 ml of juice is obtained from about 3.5 oz (100 g) of beets. However, this is quite enough, because people who have not drunk it before should not start with very large doses.
Beetroot juice is extremely healthy, but in no case should it be consumed in large quantities, because it can cause serious discomfort. To soften its taste, you can mix it with freshly squeezed carrot and apple juice.
You can gradually increase the amount of beet juice you consume, but it is still not good to drink too much of it. If you get nausea from beetroot juice, you can leave it in the fridge for about an hour. While it stays there some of the nutrients in it will vanish, but there will be no more side effects.
