How To Store Olives At Home?

Olives are extremely tasty and healthy, regardless of their type or variety. But when we buy a larger quantity, one question arises and it is how to store them at home.

The answer depends on whether they are fresh, literally picked from the tree fruit or processed.

Processed olives, which are sold per kilogram, can be stored in the refrigerator in a plastic box or ziploc bag for 2-3 days. If you want to keep them for a longer time, you have to put them in jars, pour a saline solution over them and 1 finger of olive oil.

Another option is to pour the olives into the jars entirely with olive oil and even add aromatic spices, such as rosemary, garlic, etc. You can use the flavored olive oil for other olives as well as for salads.

Fresh olives harvested from the tree are first soaked in saline for at least 1 month, after which they can be stored in one of the ways described above.
