See how to make orange jam easily step by step.
Necessary products for 6 small jars:
peel of 6 organic oranges
800 g of sugar
1 cup of water + extra for boiling
1/2 tsp. citric acid
How to prepare:
Wash the oranges very well (or with a soft brush) and peel their peel, pre-cut them into 7-8 strips along the length of each orange;
Carefully clean the inner white part of the peel, while trying to keep only the orange, because the white part is bitter and spoils the taste of the jam.
Cut the orange peels into small cubes.
Pour the orange peels into a suitable pot and pour enough water to cover them;
Boil them for 5-6 minutes minutes.
Rinse them thoroughly with cold water. This procedure is repeated a total of 3 times.
Boil half a glass of water and sugar in a pot and stir until the crystals melt.
Add the boiled peels and reduce the heat.
Boil the jam until the desired density is obtained, while stirring periodically so that it does not burn.
Remove the orange peel jam from the heat and add the citric acid.
Stir and distribute the finished homemade jam into warm jars.
Store the perfect orange jam in a dark and cool place.
