Everyone loves drinking shakes. They are rich to the taste, creamy, icy delights, which are perfect to enjoy together with your partner. There's no season for a well-made shake. You can enjoy one while eating a burger with fries or experience the same satisfaction while drinking one instead of eating dessert.
Here's the recipe for preparing the perfect milkshake, step-by-step, plus a few ideas for delicious alternatives of the beverage. You need just 5 min. to prepare and 2 min. for the actual making of the shake.
The required ingredients are 3 teaspoons vanilla ice cream, 1/5 cup milk, chocolate, strawberries or caramel syrup (optional), vanilla extract (optional), frozen fruits of your choice, 3 biscuits (optional), 1 bonbon cut into little pieces (optional).
Step 1 - choose quality products
Choose a quality vanilla ice cream. Almost all types of shakes use it as their foundation. The milk needs to be full fat so that the beverage is thick and has a thick cream.
Step 2 - prepare the products
To prepare the perfect shake, the ice cream needs to be slightly melted. The perfect temperature for this goal is 40°F (7°C). If you start to whip the ice cream with the milk while it's still frozen, the result won't be a very good one. Never put ice in the shake because it'll just make it watery and the beverage will lose part of its taste and aroma.
Step 3 - making the shake and measurements
Put 3 scoops of ice cream in a blender. Add the milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, as well as the rest of the remaining ingredients you've chosen to add. Turn the blender on for 1 min. If you do not have one, mix the products in a large bowl and stir for 3 min.
Step 4 - decoration
Pour the prepared shake in a tall, chilled glass. Decorate with strawberries, chocolate syrup or grated bonbons. Serve with a straw and spoon.
Tips and tricks
To make a chocolate shake add 1/5 cup of chocolate syrup to the aforementioned products before you blend/stir. Depending on your preference, you can substitute the chocolate with a banana, 5 strawberries, malt syrup.
