How to make
Arrange the steaks in an oiled clay pot (you don't need to overlap them).
Cut the onions into crescents and add them to the clay pot. Add the carrots, chopped into round slices and the mushrooms - cut into slices.
Add the spices, Worcestershire sauce and wine. Pour in about 1 cup water toward the end.
Put the lid on the clay pot and bake at 370°F (190 °C) about 2 hours. Serve with a garnish of your choice.
