"Fluffy, soft and very tasty - this easy tutmanik is best served with a glass of ayran and a keen appetite."

Ingredients

  • beer - 1/2 cup
  • eggs - 2
  • feta cheese - 9 oz (250 g)
  • yoghurt - 2 cups (500 g)
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • oil - 4 tbsp + a little more for smearing the tray
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - as needed for a cake batter + a little more for sprinkling on the tray
  • butter - 2 tbsp
  • caraway - 1 tsp, grains
measures

How to make

Beat the eggs in a suitable bowl, add the salt and beer to them. Mix the baking soda with the yoghurt, then add them to the liquid ingredients.

Lastly, add in the oil, finely crumbled feta cheese and caraway.

To the well-mixed ingredients, add about 2 cups flour for a soft cake batter.

Butter the tray in which you'll be baking the tutmanik and sprinkle it with flour.

Pour the batter in it and place pea-sized pieces of butter on top in several places.

Bake in a preheated oven until reddened. Take it out and cover with a cotton towel.
