  • green tomatoes - 13 lb (6 kg)
  • celery - 2 bunches
  • sea salt - 1 cup
  • sugar - 4 cups
  • vinegar - 4 cups
  • water - 9 cups
  • aspirin

How to make

Wash the green tomatoes, clean them and chop them coarsely.

Wash and chop the celery, along with the stalks. In a deep container, put 9 cups water, the sugar, vinegar, sea salt.

Stir well until all of the ingredients dissolve. Prepare jars, put 1 aspirin in each and a stalk of celery.

Pack the green tomatoes in the jars tightly, put more celery on top. Pour cold brine into all of the jars without sterilizing.
