  • tomatoes - 33 lb (15 kg)
  • salt - to taste
  • banana peppers - 17.5 oz (500 g)
  • parsley - 1 bunch

How to make

Wash the tomatoes. Grate part of them on a grater into tomato sauce in a deep pot. Season with salt and add the finely chopped parsley.

Cut the rest of the tomatoes through the middle in half and cut off the top, stem area, without peeling the skins. Mix them with the tomato sauce and stir well.

Fill the jars up to the rim, while also putting 1-2 banana peppers in each jar.

Close with new caps. Arrange in a deep pot, at the bottom of which you've spread out an old towel. Pour in water to a level of 3 finger widths above the caps.

Boil on moderate heat for 15-20 min. after boiling point. Leave them in the water until they cool.

Store in a cool area.
