How to make
Beat the egg, softened pork lard and sugar with a large fork. Add the mixture to the flour with vanilla.
Knead a dough quickly, so the lard doesn't get too soft. Roll out the dough to a sheet about 1/4 (5 mm) thick and cut out forms of the desired shape - squares, rectangles, circles, etc. You can even shape them into balls.
Arrange them onto a tray with baking paper and bake at 360°F (180 °C) for 10-12 min. until slightly reddened.
While still hot, roll the shortbread cookies in powdered sugar.
