How to make
Beat the egg yolks with the sugar to a foam in a large container. In a pot, mix the milk, cream and vanilla.
Heat the mixture to a boil while stirring nonstop. Take off the stove and slowly add the egg yolks while stirring nonstop.
Beat until thickened. Once it cools, transfer to bowls and put them in the freezer, while stirring every 20 min.
