How to make
The milk is poured along with the sugar into a suitable container and brought to a boiling point, by stirring to dissolve the sugar.
The eggs are beaten well with a mixer and the milk is gradually added to them, stirring continuously. The goal is to warm them from the milk and not lump up.
Once warm enough, add the egg mixture in a thin stream to the milk, again stirring constantly. Reduce the heat and heat the homemade vanilla ice cream mixture, stirring constantly, until bubbles appear on the surface.
Remove from the heat and let it cool.
As soon as it cools down, add the vanilla, mix well again and transfer it to a box with a lid or wrap it in cling film and put it in the freezer.
If possible, during the first two hours, the mixture is stirred every 30 minutes to prevent crystals from forming.
The retro homemade vanilla ice cream can be garnished with mint leaves, fresh fruit or a spoonful or two of homemade jam with whole berries.
The taste of this retro homemade vanilla ice cream is unique!
Enjoy!
