"Stumps with apples, cinnamon and raisins. Fun, easy, delicious and an absolute favorite for the kids. So what do you need to make them? Find out here."

Ingredients

  • puff pastry - 14 oz (400 g)
  • eggs - 1 yolk, for smearing

  • apples - 2

  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • coconut flakes - 2 tbsp
  • raisins - 2 tbsp (30 g)
measures

How to make

First, take the puff pastry out of the freezer and leave it for 2-3 hours at room temperature to soften. Prepare the filling. Finely chop the peeled apples into a bowl.

Mix them with the sugar, cinnamon, coconut flakes and raisins. Stir with a spoon. Roll out the dough in a rectangle. Put the filling in one end, smear the other one lightly with water so it sticks and wrap it into a roll.

Cut it into stumps 3/4″ (2 cm) long with a wave knife. Arrange them in a lightly oiled oven dish and smear with beaten yolk on top with a brush.

Heat the oven to 390°F (200 °C), bake the stumps for 20-25 min. until golden. Take them out and let them cool. Arrange them in a plate, sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar. You'll be licking your fingers!
