  • pork steaks - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • black pepper - 1 tsp
  • honey - 2 tbsp
  • beer - 1 cup
  • butter - 1 1/3 tbsp (20 g)

How to make

Wash the steaks well, then sprinkle them evenly on both sides with salt and black pepper. Melt the butter and honey, smear each one of the steaks with this mixture.

Arrange the steaks in an oven dish or clay pot and pour 1/2 cup water and the beer over them. If baking them in an oven dish, it's best to cover it with foil. Put them in a cold oven and turn it up to 390°F (200 °C).

Bake the steaks for about 90 min. About 10 min. before they're ready, remove the foil and let them get a nice crisp on top.
