How to make
Boil the potatoes and peel them. Mash them and add the flour, egg and salt to them. Knead a dough from the mixture and form circles with your hands.
Put a little marmalade in each circle and fold it in 2.
Drop the dumplings in slightly boiling salted water and boil them until they begin to float up to the surface.
Take them out with a slotted spoon and leave them to drain.
Braise the breadcrumbs lightly in the butter, pour them into another container and mix them with the sugar and vanilla.
Roll the dumplings in the prepared mixture but also keep in mind that they must not be too dry (the sugar won't stick) or too moist (the sugar will get soggy).
