How to make
I boiled the turkey leg in salted water until fully cooked, by skimming off any foam that had formed.
I then deboned and cut it into large pieces and strained and saved the broth.
I cut the cabbage into small pieces and grated the carrot on a coarse grater and stewed it in heated oil with a little salt.
As soon as the cabbage softened, I added about 500 g of grated fresh tomatoes.
I cooked for a few more minutes, then added paprika, black pepper and a few finely chopped garlic cloves.
At the bottom of a baking pan, I arranged the meat first, then covered it with the stewed cabbage.
I added 1 cup of the broth and put the oven-baked cabbage to bake in a preheated oven at 390°F (200°C) for 30-40 minutes until browned.
This oven-baked fresh cabbage with turkey is a very tasty rustic dish, which you should try in autumn :)
