  • water - 1 cup /250 - 300 ml/
measures

How to make

Thyme tea is made from 2 teaspoons of the dried herb boiled in a teacup of water.

The mixture should be left for 10 minutes and then the liquid should be strained. For cough relief 3-4 cups of thyme tea a day are recommended.

Thyme contains essential oils that soothe and stop a cough, by helping to treat asthma, bronchitis and angina, as it successfully removes secretions from inflammation of the upper respiratory tract.

A cup of thyme tea contains: calcium, chromium, iron, magnesium, manganese, potassium and selenium, flavonoids, vitamins B-complex, C, D, A, phosphorus, tannins and carotene, strong antioxidant compounds.

Thyme lowers blood pressure and is recommended for people suffering from insomnia.

Not recommended during pregnancy and for nursing mothers!

It is one of the leading antiseptics and disinfectants, as well as a powerful immunostimulator.

Legend has it that Orpheus identified thyme as the herb of Inspiration!
