"Cherry jam is for everyone, but cherry liqueur is so aromatic that we keep it for ourselves"

Ingredients

  • cherries - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • brandy - 2 cups (500 ml)
  • sugar - 7 oz (200 g)
  • water - 3.4 fl oz (100 ml)
  • cloves - 1 clove
measures

How to make

Choose well-ripened fruits. Wash them and put them in a large glass jar or bottle. Add the cloves and brandy.

The jar is closed tightly and left in the dark for 40 days. The fruit is then removed and the liquid is strained.

A thick sugar syrup is prepared from the sugar and water, which is mixed with the strained liquid.

The finished liqueur is transferred to a glass bottle and stored again in the dark.

The cherry liqueur is ready.
