How to make
The strawberries are washed very well and laid out on kitchen paper to dry.
Carefully remove the stems, so that you don't crush them.
Sugar is poured into a pot. Add the water and stir.
Bring to a boiling point over high heat, by stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves, then reduce the heat and let it boil until the syrup thickens to a thick consistency. When lifting the spoon from the syrup, the drops from it, falling, should form a thread.
After the syrup thickens, it is removed from the heat and allowed to cool for 10 minutes, after which the cleaned strawberries are placed in it.
It is mixed carefully and left for 10 minutes, after which it is put back on the stove, initially on low heat, gradually increasing to medium.
Boil until the desired thickness is obtained.
Before removing the jam from the heat, add the citric acid and mix very carefully.
The pot is removed from the heat and covered with a towel.
Leave to cool for 24 hours, then pour into jars.
The quick strawberry jam according to an old recipe is ready.
