How to make
Soft medlars are chosen and boiled over low heat for about 10 minutes. Then they are strained through a colander.
Pour the softened fruit with 2 cups of water and sugar, boil and cook them over low heat, by stirring constantly.
Shortly before the medlar jam reaches the desired thickness, cinnamon is added. Cloves can be added if desired.
The jam is poured into dry jars while still warm.
