How to make
Heat half of the butter in the pan and fry the breadcrumbs in it.
Peel the apples and cut them into cubes.
When the breadcrumbs turn golden, add the apples, raisins, sugar, juice and lemon peel.
Season the mixture with cinnamon. Add the remaining amount of butter and let the apples soften and caramelize.
Stick 5-6 thin filo pastry sheets with butter between them. Place the apple filling on top and roll into a tight apple roll.
Place the aromatic strudel in a tray on a sheet of baking paper and bake at 360°F (180°C) for 15-20 min.
Sprinkle the finished Viennese Apple Strudel with Lemon Flavor with powdered sugar and serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
