How to make

The warm milk, yeast, white sugar and sour cream are mixed and left for 10 minutes. Add 3.5 oz (100 g) of butter (melted) and 17 oz (480 g) of flour. Stir with a wooden spoon until everything is well mixed. You should get a sticky dough, don't add more flour at this stage!

The bowl is covered with foil and a towel and left to rise for 1 hour.

Remove and place it onto the kitchen counter and knead with the remaining 3.5 oz (100 g) of flour + 1 tsp. baking powder for 10 min., by adding them gradually.

Roll it out into a rectangle and grease well with 2.1 oz (60 g) of soft butter. Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon separately and sprinkle the mixture over the butter.

A roll is rolled up on the longer side. Cinnamon rolls are cut with dental floss (you can also use a knife, but they look prettier with the floss). Arrange them in a tray covered with baking paper, cover it and leave them for 15-30 minutes.

Bake at 360°F (180°C) for 25-30 minutes and if the top begins to brown too much, cover them with foil.

After they are baked and have cooled, they can be sprinkled with powdered sugar and milk.

The Fluffy Christmas Cinnamon Rolls are the perfect Christmas dessert along with stollen and Christmas Gingerbreads.
