"Aromatic jam made of rose petals, which you can serve with pancakes, mekitsi or buhti"

Ingredients

  • rose petals - 125 pcs.
  • sugar - 2.2 lb (1 kg)
  • lemons - 1 pc.
  • water - 1 2/3 cups (400 ml)
  • citric acid - 1 tbsp (10 g)

How to make

Wash the roses, squeeze them well and put them in a bowl.

Add the citric acid and grind the leaves well.

Put sugar and water in a pot.

After dissolving the sugar, add the rose petals and leave them to boil over high heat.

Add the diced lemon and boil for another 30 minutes.

Fill clean and dry jars with the jam.

Wrap them with a towel and leave them like that for 24 hours.

The rose petal jam is ready.
