How to make
A wonderful recipe for homemade Turkish Delight that is sure to please everyone.
Grab a large non-stick pot, add the water and sugar inside, put the sugar on the stove to melt and during that time dissolve the two and a half packets of the natural starch with the rose water and a little clean water. Stir well, so that there are no lumps.
Add the starch to the syrup and start the most difficult continuous stirring, after it thickens, reduce the heat to low and stir for about 20-30 minutes and it is very important to be careful not to burn it.
Stir continuously without a minute's gap.
After it is ready and about 30 minutes have passed since the mixing, add red confectionery paint, because the rose water is colorless and there is no way it will turn into a pink Turkish delight. Put it at the end, because you don't want it to cook with the dye.
Pour the mixture onto baking paper in a rectangular baking pan and leave it in the refrigerator for about 3-4 hours.
After it has hardened well, take it out with the paper and start cutting it into strips about a finger thick and put the remaining starch, which is about half a packet and powdered sugar on top.
Cut the homemade Turkish delight with rose water into small cubes, roll each one well and place them on a serving plate.
