How to make
Heat the milk and pour the yeast and sugar into it. Leave it for about 5 minutes to activate the yeast.
Sift the flour into a bowl and add the salt.
Beat the eggs separately and pour them into the flour. Add the pork fat and mix well. Add the yeast dissolved in the milk to this mixture and mix well.
We start kneading and if necessary add a little more flour, enough to get a soft and non-sticky dough. Let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
When the dough has risen, roll it out into a crust, which is about 0.1″ (2 mm) thick. Spread the crust evenly with the melted butter.
Make vertical and horizontal cuts, so that rectangles with a long side of about 4″ (10 cm) are obtained.
On each of these rectangles, make two longitudinal cuts. Put a little crumbled white cheese on one side and roll up the rolls.
Arrange them in a Teflon baking pan or in a baking pan covered with baking paper that has been greased.
Beat the yolk and spread the arranged Macedonian Rolls with it.
Sprinkle them with poppy seeds and bake them in a preheated oven.
