"We bet that only the most modern grandmothers know how to make Banana Buhti"

Ingredients

  • bananas - 2 pcs. (well ripened)
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • flour - 8 tbsp. with a tip
  • lemon juice - 1 tbsp.
  • baking powder - 1 tsp.
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • oil (for frying)
  • crystal sugar
measures

How to make

For the recipe, use bananas, that have dark spots on their skin or are completely dark in color. The inside should be white, but soft and creamy.

Peel the bananas and mash them with a fork. Immediately pour the lemon juice over them and stir to prevent the fruit puree from oxidizing and darkening.

Beat the eggs with the salt in a bowl, add the banana puree and mix.

Add spoonfuls of the flour, pre-sifted with the baking powder and mix in a circular motion, until it is completely absorbed.

The mixture should not become thick, but if it seems too thin, you can add a little more flour.

Heat a pan with a generous amount of oil over a medium heat and scoop the buhti mixture with a spoon and place them into the heated oil.

Fry, until they aquire a golden color on both sides, then remove and place the fried buhti onto kitchen paper to absorb the excess fat.

While they are warm, roll them in crystal sugar and serve them.

Soft, airy, fluffy and fragrant, you will fall in love with these banana buhti.

Enjoy!
