How to make
The Heart Cake for Lovers is beautiful and spectacular and is a great surprise for Valentine's Day or any other occasion to show you love and care for your partner.
Make sure you have a little more time to prepare it, but do not be afraid that it is complicated.
Start with the most important part - the heart.
Beat the soft butter with the sugar in a bowl and when you get a fluffy cream, add the egg and keep beating with the mixer.
Separately, activate the soda in the vinegar and for the milk, pour the lemon juice and leave it to lump up.
Add condensed milk, baking soda, vanilla sugar and confectionery paint to the butter and egg cream. Mix, until a homogenous mixture is obtained and sift the flour into the mixture.
Homogenize the red cake batter well and pour it into a rectangular cake tin with a capacity of 1 L (pre-greased and floured).
Bake at 320°F (160°C) for 35-40 minutes or until it is fully baked. Leave it in the tin for a bit before removing it, since it is delicate.
Cool the baked pink cake on a wire rack and cut in half lengthwise down the middle, as when halving a cake layer.
Cut out the hearts with a cookie cutter and arrange them close to each other, their length should be the same as the rectangular mold in which the main cake dough will be baked - 80°F (27 cm).
Tightly wrap the strip of hearts with transparent household foil and store in the freezer for 2 hours. If you are not in a hurry, you can start the day before and refrigerate it overnight.
The hearts, stuck together like a block, are taken out from the fridge or freezer and you can start working on the rest of the cake.
Beat the 3 eggs with the sugar, pour the melted butter, the milk and finally the flour with the baking powder.
Grease and flour the cake tin and put a layer of the white cake batter in it. Place the block of red hearts on it in the middle and pour the rest of the mixture.
Bake for 45 minutes in an oven preheated to 320°F (160°C). Leave it to cool slightly and then cool it further on a wire rack.
With this, the main part of the recipe is finished and what remains is to decorate it according to your imagination to make your Valentine`s Day Cake even more beautiful, although its charm lies inside when it is cut.
I piped out white chocolate ganache shapes, which were slightly pink and sprinkled with powdered sugar.
Have a wonderful and sweet day!
* You can use the heart cutouts for other desserts like pudding, cake in cups or jars or cake pops.
