  • milk - 2 cups (500 ml)
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • yolk - 6 pcs.
  • gelatin - 2 tbsp (20 g)
  • heavy cream - 7 oz (200 g)
  • vanilla powder - 1 pc (0.2 g) or essence
  • For the brown cream
  • milk chocolate - 7 oz (200 g)
  • dark chocolate - 1.8 oz (50 g)
  • heavy cream - 1 1/2 cups
  • butter - 3 tbsp.
  • rum essence
  • For the butter cream
  • butter - 7 oz (200 g)
  • powdered sugar - 2 cups

How to make

Start, first, by preparing the creams.

For the yellow cream beat the yolks and add it to the milk, cream and sugar. Put it on a low heat and boil the mixture, until reaches a boiling point.

Dissolve the packet of gelatin in a little water, heat it and add it to the mixture. Leave the cream to cool and set.

For the brown cream - heat the heavy cream and butter. Break the chocolate into small pieces and add it to the cream and butter. This way, melt the chocolate, by stirring continuously, until a smooth mixture is obtained. Remove it from the heat, add the rum essence and leave it to cool.

For the butter cream - beat the butter and powdered sugar, until a fluffy mixture is obtained. The important thing is that no balls of sugar remain.

Start by assembling the Valentines Day Cake. Cut the cake layers into a heart shape. Then spread the first cake layer with the yellow cream and the second with the brown cream. Finally, spread the entire cake with the butter cream.

Leave it in the refrigerator for about 2-3 hours to set. Then sprinkle the kitchen counter with starch and roll out the fondant with a rolling pin.

Cover the cream cake with the fondant and smooth it out with a fondant smoothing spatula. Put the red heart cake for Valentine's Day for another hour in the refrigerator and then decorate it with flowers.

Note: When I cut out the cake layers, I made little hearts and the creams came out more, but I put them in cups and decorated as a separate dessert.
