  • butter - 1 cup (225 g)
  • water - 1 cup (220 ml)
  • cocoa - 35, powdered
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • flour - 1 cup (250 g)
  • baking soda - 1 3/4 tsp
  • eggs - 2, large
  • sour cream - 2/3 cup (145 g)
  • vanilla
  • for the glaze
  • dark chocolate - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • confectionery cream - 2/5 cup (115 ml)

How to make

Heat the oven to 360°F (180 °C). Sift the flour in a suitable bowl, add the baking soda and sugar to it.

On low heat, melt the butter with the cocoa, salt and water, while stirring nonstop. Transfer the cocoa mixture to the flour in 2 lots.

Add the eggs 1 by 1, then the vanilla and sour cream. Pour the batter into a buttered and floured cake form and put it in the oven.

Bake for about 40 min., checking to see if its inside is dry with a toothpick. Take the cake out and leave it to cool. In the meantime, make the glaze.

In the same container you melted the butter, add the chocolate and confectionery cream. Melt until homogeneous, while stirring nonstop. Pour the glaze over the cooled cake.
