Ingredients

  • rabbit - 1 pc.
  • milk - 1 1/5 cups (300 ml)
  • carrots - 2 pcs.
  • garlic - 2 cloves (or more, if desired)
  • mushrooms - 7 oz (200 g) fresh
  • tomatoes - 1 pc.
  • barbecue seasoning - 1 tbsp (optional)
  • breading - 1 pc. ready
  • oil - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • salt - by taste
  • black pepper - by taste
  • paprika - by taste

How to make

The rabbit is marinated in salt, black pepper, paprika, oil, barbecue seasoning, milk and water to cover it.

It is left in the refrigerator for 10 hours.

After marinating, cut it into portions. It can be cut before marinating.

It is rolled in breadcrumbs and fried, until it aquires a golden color on both sides in preheated oil.

On the bottom of a baking pan, add the onion chunks, arrange the fried rabbit on top and cover with the remaining marinade.

The marinated rabbit is baked in foil at 320°F (160°C) with a fan for about an hour.

Then the pieces are turned over, carrots, garlic, mushrooms and peeled tomatoes are added in small pieces and the stewed rabbit is baked for another hour, until the meat is ready.

Before removing the tender oven-baked rabbit with milk from the oven, remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes.

The garlic and carrot can also be added at the beginning.
