Affogato is not just coffee with ice cream. In Italy, it's a separate Italian dessert.
The classic version is a scoop of plain vanilla ice cream floating in hot espresso. That's where the name of the dessert comes from, which literally means drowned.
To make it, you need to put the two scoops of ice cream in a tall coffee cup, then pour hot espresso coffee.
Finally, cover the coffee affogato with grated chocolate and nuts.
