How to make
In a bowl, sift the flour with a pinch of salt and a pinch of baking powder.
Add one yolk, the sugar, the milk and the cold butter (cut into pieces).
Flavor with the grated peel of an orange.
Knead a soft butter dough. Wrap the kneaded dough in a piece of cling film and refrigerate it for 2 hours. The colder it is, the easier it is to work with it.
Cut out a orange slice mold out of cardboard. Roll out the chilled dough onto a floured surface into a 3-4 mm crust.
Cut out circles with a glass, then divide them with the mold into slices, by making holes in only one half.
Arrange the slices on a tray lined with baking paper.
Bake the orange cookies in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) for 8-10 minutes.
Cool the baked cookies on a wire rack, then stick them together with homemade orange marmalade or another one of your choice.
Gorgeous orange slice cookies for good occasions :)
Enjoy!
