How to make
Cut the cauliflower into pieces. Put it in salted boiling water with a slice of lemon. Boil, until it softens.
Strain the boiled cauliflower and put it in a greased with 2-3 tbsp. of olive oil baking pan.
Put slices of thinly sliced boiled ham on it.
In a pot, melt the butter. Fry two tablespoons of flour in it. Pour the COLD fresh milk all at once. Season with a pinch of salt.
Start stirring immediately with a wire whisk, until the Béchamel thickens. Leave it thinner and if necessary, pour a little more fresh milk.
Season the finished Béchamel with a pinch of grated nutmeg.
Pour it over the cauliflower. Shake the baking pan to flavor the vegetable. Sprinkle with grated parmesan.
Bake at 360°F (180°C) in a preheated oven with a fan, until it has nicely browned. The products are cooked, so not much baking is required.
Serve the oven-baked cauliflower with béchamel and ham warm!
