How to make
The salt is dissolved in 6 cups (1.5 liters) of water. The herring is soaked in the salt solution for 24 hours.
Take it out and strain it well.
Pour olive oil into the bottom of the jars and arrange the salted fish tightly.
Add olive oil to cover the marinated fish and close the lid.
The homemade salted herring prepared in this way has a shelf life of 1 month if stored in a cool place.
