  • coarse salt
  • black pepper
  • bay leaf
  • allspice
measures

How to make

When you decide to salt fish, it must be completely fresh and without an unpleasant odor.

There are different types of salting techniques, but the type I will present to you is with cleaned fish.

Wash the bluefish from the mucus, remove the entrails and leave the fish to drain from the water.

Sprinkle it coarse salt on the bottom of a container and arrange the bluefish on it and add black pepper, allspice, bay leaf around it. Sprinkle it with coarse salt on top as well.

In a few days you will see, that there is water in the container.

This is because salt extracts some of the fish's water and forms a brine.

Leave the fish to stand for 4-5 weeks, take it out, wash it with cold water and hang it in a ventilated place.

The salted bluefish is ready.
