measures

How to make

Oven - 340°F (170°C). A flat tray covered with baking paper.

Melt the butter and cool it to room temperature.

Mix the flour, baking soda and starch in a bowl. Leave it aside.

In the bowl of a mixer or a hand held mixer, mix the melted butter with the two types of sugar.

Beat for about 3-4 minutes, until a homogeneous mixture is obtained - heavy, shiny and smooth.

Add the eggs one at a time, the vanilla and add the flour mixture three times at slow speed of the mixer. Add the pieces of chopped chocolate with a spatula. Leave the mixture covered with foil in the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight.

With a small ice cream scoop or a teaspoon, scoop the mixture, quickly shape it into a ball with the palms of your hands and place it in the tray on the baking paper, by making sure there is a greater distance between the balls. During baking, the cookies swell. Leave them to cool again in the refrigerator while the oven is preheated.

Bake at 340°F (170°C) for about 11-13 minutes.

The cookies must be cooled in the baking tray itself for about 15 minutes and then removed onto a wire rack to cool completely.

The Chocolate Chip Christmas Cookies are ready.

Note: I am uploading two pictures of the cookies, the second one is not of good quality, because it is difficult for me to take a picture with one hand, but I would like you to see how the chocolate has melted nicely in the cookie.

After they cool completely, it will firm up, but this should not bother you and does not affect the taste of the cookie itself.
