How to make
Beat the softened butter, gradually add both sugars and vanilla, beating until you get a homogeneous mixture. Add 1 whole egg and the yolk after it. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt and add it to the egg mixture.
Chop the chocolate into pieces, pour it into the mixture and stir to distribute evenly. Shape a sausage from the dough, wrap it in foil and leave it to harden for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Take the dough out, cut it into round slices, arrange them in a buttered baking dish, lightly press them with your hand. Bake the cookies for about 10-12 minutes (the edges need brown) at 360°F (180 °C).
When warm, the cookies are soft, but after an hour become crispy.
