Ingredients

  • eggs - 3 pcs.
  • oil - 3 tbsp.
  • brown sugar - 8 oz (220 g)
  • yogurt - 7 oz (200 g)
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp.
  • einkorn flour - 10 oz (280 g)
  • baking powder - 1 tsp (5 g)
  • vanilla - 1 pc. (0.2 g)
  • ground walnuts - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp.
  • small apples - 4 - 5 pcs.
  • powdered sugar - 3 tbsp.

How to make

Peel, clean and cut the apples into thin slices. Beat the eggs with the brown sugar. Mix the soda with the yogurt and add it to the egg mixture.

Add the oil, vanilla, cinnamon and mix well. Add the flour and mix again, until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Then add the walnuts and stir.

Grease a suitable baking pan with a little oil and sprinkle it with a little flour. Pour half of the cake mixture into the baking pan. Arrange the apple slices on top and pour the rest of the mixture over them.

You can arrange more apple slices on top. Bake the sponge cake in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) for about 40 minutes.

Take it out and leave the baked apple sponge cake to cool slightly. Sprinkle it with powdered sugar and serve it.
