"The most delicious pickles are made with homemade apple cider vinegar - just so you know!"

Ingredients

  • small gherkins - 11 lb (5 kg)
  • salt
  • sugar
  • homemade apple cider vinegar
  • dill
measures

How to make

Wash and clean the gherkins. Cut the ends on both sides. Arrange them in well-washed jars. It will be easier by placing the jar lying down and arranging the gherkins. Fill them up to the top.

Peel and clean the onion. Cut it into slices and put some in each jar. Add a sprig of dill and 2-3 grains of black pepper. Pour the homemade apple cider vinegar up to the first ring. Put 2 tsp. of salt and 3 tsp. of sugar in each jar.

Add water to the upper ring. Close tightly with lids and boil the jars. Boil, until the cucumbers begin to change color - no more than 5 minutes after boiling.

Cool the finished jars slightly and turn them upside down, until they have completely cooled. Store the jars in a dark and cool place.
