How to make
Peel 2-3 strips of orange peel, but make sure, that they don't have any white parts.
Blend in the blender along with the sugar - this way the citrus aroma will be much more pronounced.
Squeeze the juice from half an orange and mix it with the oil and finely grated carrot. Add the flavored sugar and mix everything well.
Sift the flour along with the cinnamon, baking powder, pinch of salt and nutmeg. Add it spoon by spoon to the liquid mixture.
It is necessary for a sticky dough to be obtained, which is thicker than cake mixture, so add more flour, if necessary. If it is very thick, add a little juice.
Keep in mind that the dough cannot be shaped by hand, so scoop it with a spoon and place it onto a baking tray. A total of 24-26 cookies will be obtained. Lightly smooth and flatten them, so that they can aquire the shape of cookies.
Bake them in 2 batches in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) for 15 minutes or until they aquire a golden color at the edges.
Place the warm cookies on a wire rack, so that they can cool evenly and become crunchy and pleasant.
The lean cinnamon cookies are ready.
