How to make
Chop the onion and fry it in heated oil over medium heat. Add the grated garlic and as much salt as you like. After a minute, add the rice, which has been washed well in advance, in order to remove the starch.
Once the rice is crystal clear, add the tomato puree and bay leaf and stir for another minute.
Add the sauerkraut, pour the warm water and increase the heat.
Cut the bacon, chorizo and black pudding into large pieces and place them in the already boiling dish. Cook for about 15 minutes and during that time turn on the oven to preheat to 390°F (200°C).
Transfer the dish into a baking pan, season it with black pepper and more salt, if necessary and bake for another 10 minutes or until the liquid has completely evaporated.
Serve it hot, sprinkled with chopped fresh parsley. Optionally, garnish the oven-baked rice with sour cream.
The rice with sauerkraut, smoked bacon and sausages is very tasty.
