How to make
Start making this Lean Turkish Delight Filo Pastry Pie by chopping the walnuts and cutting the Turkish delight into small pieces. This will be the filling for our easy, quick and delicious sweet pie.
Grease the bottom of a baking pan (mine was rectangular - 30/17 cm.) Cut all of the filo pastry sheets in two equal parts lengthwise.
Lay down one half, wrinkle it slightly, grease with a little oil, sprinkle it with sugar and place a second one on top. Drizzle or spread it with oil again and spread the filling with walnuts and Turkish delight on it. Continue doing the same way, until you run out of the products. The filling goes on every two filo pastry sheets.
Spread the filo pastry pie with oil and put it in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) for about 25-30 minutes or until it aquires a golden brown color.
Sprinkle the baked pie with water as soon as you take it out of the oven. Cover it with a towel and leave it for 10-15 minutes to soften and stew.
Cut it into pieces and serve the baked Turkish Delight Filo Pastry Pie while it's still slightly warm.
