"Get ready for the holidays, by experimenting with this tikvenik with rice paper! Youre happy with the result, arent you?"

Ingredients

  • boiled pumpkin - 1.3 lb (600 g)
  • rice paper - 6 pcs.
  • walnuts - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp.
  • vanilla - 1 powder
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp. (optional)
  • honey - 1.4 oz (40 g)
  • water - 4 tbsp (60 ml)

How to cook

Grab the pumpkin, peel it, clean it and cut it into pieces.

Put it in a pot of water and leave it to boil over low heat, until it softens.

Then mash it with a fork and season it with the listed spices. Add the crushed walnuts. Mix everything well.

Grab a rice paper and soak it for 2 seconds in cold water.

Take it out carefully, so that it doesn't break. Place it on a kitchen towel.

Add a spoonful of the stuffing and roll it up into a roll. Arrange in a tray.

Do the same with the other rice paper sheets. It is important to work with the sheets one by one.

Preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C). Put the tray with the rolled up tikvenik in it and bake until it aquires a golden color. When it is ready, take it out and leave it to cool.

Prepare the filling. In a small cookware, boil the water and honey. Once the liquid starts to boil, turn off the heat and remove the cookware from the heat.

Carefully pour the mixture over the rice paper tikvenik.
