How to make
Despite the seemingly many products, this is a very quick and easy dish or appetizer for cozy dinners at home with family or friends.
The nacho chips with avocado flavor are the most important ingredient, but if you're having a hard time finding some, you can make this recipe with plain nachos.
Chop the onion and pepper and fry them until they soften and are lightly browned in heated oil. Pour the tomatoes (grated) and the minced meat along with all the spices and salt as well, after about a minute.
Stir, until it crumbles and when it changes color, pour the water with a teaspoon of starch dissolved in it. Stir for another 5 to 10 minutes or until the sauce thickens. It is important, that it doesn't stay watery, because it would moisten the nachos and they will soften, which is not desirable.
Set aside the minced meat sauce, in order to cool slightly.
Meanwhile, turn on the oven and preheat it to 390°F (200°C) and make the avocado sauce:
Peel an avocado and mash it. Peel and finely chop the tomato, garlic and fresh onions.
Mix everything in a bowl and season with salt, freshly squeezed lime juice and olive oil. The taste is similar to guacamole.
Once the oven has heated up well, empty the packet of avocado nachos into a baking pan, pour the minced meat sauce on top and sprinkle them generously with emmental or other similar cheese, which melts easily.
Put the baking pan in the oven and bake until the emmental melts.
Serve the avocado nachos with the sauce warm and optionally with Mexican tomato sauce and marinated jalapeno peppers.
