How to make
Clean and peel the apples. Grate them, squeeze their juice, add the sugar and lemon peel.
Place the grated apples on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, which needs to be lightly greased with oil and level them out. Sprinkle them with cinnamon on top.
Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the yolks, add sugar and beat again for about three minutes.
Add the sifted flour and baking powder. Mix well.
Beat the egg whites well and mix them gently into the dough.
Distribute the dough evenly on the apple layer and smooth it out.
Bake it in an oven preheated to 360°F (180 degrees) for 15-20 minutes.
Cover the baking tray with a clean cloth, turn the tray over onto the towel with the filling facing up, remove the paper and immediately, using the towel, roll it up, so that the apple filling remains inside.
Sprinkle the sweet roll lightly with powdered sugar!
The quick roll with apple filling is very easy to make and tasty. It's suitable for an afternoon snack with tea or coffee.
