"Tzatziki Yoghurt Sauce - the pride and joy of Greek cuisine."

Ingredients

  • yoghurt - 2 cups (500 g)
  • cucumbers - 2
  • garlic - 3 - 4 cloves (crushed)
  • olive oil - 1/4 cup, aromatic
  • red wine vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • mint - for flavoring and garnishing

How to make

Strain the yoghurt to obtain the desired consistency. Peel the cucumbers, remove the seeds, cut and add salt to them. Leave them to drain.

Press the garlic cloves. Mix all the ingredients. Season with black pepper, salt and mint. Stir well and serve. This is a suitable topping for meatballs.
